We should apply his teachings and policies to make our future better. Chanakya was a great scholar, he had extensive knowledge of politics, economics, agriculture, and society. He himself faced great challenges in life but he never let them get hold of his life. Instead, he faced every challenge with bravery and courage and then took the crux of those experiences to let the common man take inspiration from him. For this, he wrote "Chanakya Neeti". You too should know what according to him makes a man worthy, which is the best mantra and the best person, which day you should fast for a better future.

Gayatri is the mother of all Vedas - Atharvaveda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Rigveda. The mantra that is used for the mother of all Vedas is considered to be the best mantra for the whole universe. Every person must chant "Gayatri Mantra". Chanakya was a teacher and taught in the oldest institution Takshila, because of his excellence he himself became successful and helped Chandragupta to become an exceptional ruler.

According to Chanakya,the following teachings made him what he was:-

1. We should always learn from other's mistakes, if you keep on making mistakes and then learn from them, it would waste a great deal of our life.
2. Many people according to Chanakya never try too hard to make a successful life, instead, they let things happen at their own pace and do not take control over it. And then some people plan and are in charge of their lives and they are never afraid of defeat and people of this sort get victorious in life. This is the second-best mantra of life that he believes people should adapt to be successful.
3. According to Chanakya, the best "Tithi" or date is that of "Ekadashi" and that fasting on this day would bring prosperity and salvation. The second best day is "Dwadashi", the next day on which devotees break their fast.
4. According to Chanakya, the greatest person in the world is unique and has its own importance, but the greatest among all are mothers. Only a mother brings a child into this world and only she does everything without any greed. So every child should take care of their mother till her last breath. She is no less than God. God cannot be present everywhere and so he sent mothers, taking care and serving her is considered to be the greatest virtue.
5. Distribution of food is the biggest charity: Chanakya believes food distribution is the biggest charity.  He believes that when you feed someone hungry then that's the best charity you can ever do. Food gives the energy and power that everyone needs to survive therefore donating to those who are in need will bring you good luck.
