This year, Chaturthi Tithi will begin on the 29th October at 01:06 PM and will end on the same day at 10:09 PM. According to the Udayatithi, the fast of Karwa Chauth will be observed on 29 October. The auspicious muhurat for the evening Puja is from 5:38 PM to 6:56 PM.

Goddess Parvati also did this difficult penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband and to have unbroken good fortune with him.
