The auspicious month of Sawan is here! The whole month of Sawan is dedicated to shiva. The most prominent of these is considered to be the shivaratri of the month of Falgun, which is also called Mahashivratri. Apart from this, the second important Shivratri Is considered to be of Sawan. The day of Sawan Shivratri is very auspicious. It is best to offer Belpatra, Gangajal, cow's milk, cannabis, madar, Shamipatra, white sandalwood, white flowers, etc. to Shiva on this event. While worshiping Goddess Parvati, she should be offered suhaag material along with Akshat, flowers, fruits, incense, etc.

Puja vidhi 
After an early bath in the morning of the Shivratri, light a Diya in the temple. If you have a Shivling in your house, then anoint the Shivling with Ganga water. If there is no Ganges water, you can also anoint Bhole Baba with clean water.Those who do not have Shivling in their house, they should meditate on Bhole Baba. Worship Lord Shiva with full devotion. Along with Lord Shiva, do the aarti of Goddess Parvati. Offer Bhog to Lord Shankar as per your wish on this day. Offer only sattvik food to God. Include something sweet in the bhog as well.

Things to keep in mind during Sawan Shivratri Fast 
Keep in mind that on the day of Shivratri do not wear black clothes or eat sour things. After fasting for the whole day, worship Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati in the evening, singing aarti and breaking the fast after lighting the diya. Do not bring meat and liquor home on this day.
