The second day of Chaitra Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini, as this form of Goddess Durga is known as the devotee (Tapasvee) form. Today, devotees will offer their prayers to Goddess Brahmacharini. She is considered the Goddess of spirituality and discipline. On the second day of Navratri, devotees not only focus on the external purification but also do internal purification. Goddess Brahmacharini holds a Mala in one hand and carries a water pot (Kamandal) in the other. On the second day of Navaratri, after completing the morning prayers and rituals, clean the temple or the place of worship.
Make sure that the area around the Kalash has also been cleaned. Additionally, pour some ghee into the Akhand Jyoti.
Place an idol or a picture of Goddess Brahmacharini on a Chowki (platform) and offer prayers.
According to the scriptures, Goddess Brahmacharini is associated with the colours white and red, so wearing these colours of clothes on the second day is considered extremely auspicious.
Light incense and agarbatti (incense sticks) before Goddess Brahmacharini, recite the Vrat Katha, and end the prayers with Aarti.
You can also chant the mantras dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini, "Hreem Shree Ambikayai Namah."
